Jacksonville, FL—S&P USA Ventilation Systems LLC (S&P USA), a global leader and manufacturer in HVAC air movement products throughout North America, has expanded its Premium Choice (PCD) Series to include the PCD300 and PCD150 ceiling mount exhaust fans and the PCD300IL inline fresh air supply/exhaust fan.
S&P USA designs and manufactures a broad range of ventilation equipment, including fans rated up to over 50,000 CFM, serving residential and commercial applications. The new PCD fans will expand the residential bath fan series from its prior 150-CFM airflow maximum capacity into the light commercial range of up to 300-CFM. With new airflow capacities, these models are ideal for restrooms and ventilation zones in offices, restaurants, warehouses, and other similar facilities.
State-of-the-art features include a customized, dual-speed electronically-commutated (EC) fan motor with a standard onboard speed controller and double inlet centrifugal blower. This combination creates a new generation of fans providing an industry-leading CFM/watt performance and up to 1.0-inch w.g. static pressure. The fans offer selectable speed settings and an onboard fine-tuning airflow adjustment knob. Performance specifications are certified according to the Home Ventilation Institute's (HVI) test standards. The built-in smart speed controllers enable multiple speed field-adjustable airflow selection, and the S&P USA’s proprietary AUTOFLO™ automatically maintains desired static pressure regardless of system resistance variations.
The manually adjustable 4-speed PCD300 and the 2-speed PCD150 range from 300 to 100-CFM and 150 to 100-CFM, respectively. They’re designed to run at a continuous speed ranging from 40-CFM to the fan’s maximum speed, as determined by the installing contractor and the application. At 100cfm/0.1 in. w.g. operation, for example, both energy-efficient units feature sound ratings as low as 0.5-sones (24-dBA). The fans can also switch to a higher air volume from an integrated sensor-based humidity setpoint that’s user-adjustable. There’s also an optional adjustable timer accessory, FT247, for setting fan schedules up to 24/7.
The uniquely designed PCD300IL can be installed for either supply or exhaust air. It offers S&P USA’s proprietary smart controller, the Envirosense Ventilation Control (ES24V), as an option for controlling fresh air supply into the HVAC system to help comply with ASHRAE Standard 62.2. It uses three modes: Off, On, and Eco-Mode, the latter, which enables end-users to set humidity/temperature maximum and minimum lockouts.
Other benefits included with the PCD Series include:

For the PCD300 and PCD150 models, customers may select from a variety of grille options that include: plastic or metal construction, LED lighted, motion sensing, plastic louvered shutter, and aluminum fixed exterior grilles.
Similarly, specific to only the PCD300IL fan, a filter channel can be used to accommodate MERV 10 or MERV 13 (not included) when used for outdoor air supply.
In terms of codes and compliance, the PCD Series, along with its new models, can help contractors meet all state building codes—standards adopted by HVI, International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Residential Code (IRC), ASHRAE Standards 62.1, 62.2, and 90, and the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).
